This film is made from low-density polyethylene which reduces the soil transpiration enabling savings in water resources and favouring the appropriate thermal levels for the plant growth.
Advantages:
- Maintains the soil humidity due to the decrease in evaporation.
- Improves the thermal conditions of the plant root system.
- Avoids contact between the fruits and soil.
- Protects the emergence of fruits.
- Reduces the washing of soil fertilizers.
- Prevents weeds from growing.
- Usually, it is mechanically and manually installed. Thus, good mechanical properties are required.
